Introduction
I am a Brooklyn transplant, originally from Lenoir, NC. I moved to the city for college, hated city life (because I was living in the financial district), then fell in love with New York and never moved back. I became a teacher after graduating, and am grateful for the opportunities I was given to work alongside inspiring teachers as well as to work the kindest group of students in the city. I joined General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive program in hopes of changing career paths to something with better work-life balance, only to find that coding was an end enjoyable in itself. Now I am searching for a new role where I can expand my knowledge of code! Leave me a message below if you have any opportunities or inquiries.

Case Studies
Projects like Hamlet Coffee Co., Knightly News, and Bazaar demonstrate my intuitive, forward-thinking mindset when it comes to both frontend and backend design. Frogger is an example of how I've scaled a concept from a simple 10 row gameboard to an infinite scrolling board with a (recently-added!) backend API for highscores. ATS Resume Checker introduces a programmatic solution for developers looking to customize and enhance their resumes for each application. You can also check out my most recent React application, Trash Pandas of NYC, below; for this project, I mapped a multi-sheet excel spreadsheet into a SQL database, which is accessible through a simple backend API.
Browser-based frogger game with scrolling capabilities, difficulty settings, and a scoreboard to track current and high-scores.
